What I do dislike about this card however, is its low DPS and its high elixir cost (7): the hound alone will not be a threat for your enemy, who can just wait till your tank dies and then dispose of the pups using arrows.

What do I like about this card? Well, the obvious answer would be its 'tankiness', it's got quite a handful of HP (3000 at lvl1) so he can tank a great deal of damage without faltering, and when it dies, it becomes an even bigger threat for the opponent.īut what I truly like about this card is its ability to distract splash-damage-dealing troops like the Wizard or the Ice Wizard, who could, for example, be supporting cards like Sparky, or the giant: what that means it that you'll be able to quickly repel the enemy's push, while preparing your own.

I've been using this legendary for quite a while now, and it has surely helped me get quite a few trophies (went from arena 6 - at 1700 or so trophies - to arena 7 - currently at 2729 trophies - so it was a big boost for me). It is by no means a weak legendary, it's just that its strength is not as obvious as the other legendary cards (princess for example): because of that, it usually requires a lot of practice to be able to use the Lava Hound effectively.
